Absences & Lates

At Dr. Probe School we use a program called "Safe Arrival" to log all absences and lates. If you know that your child will be missing a day of school, or will be late, please use this program to let us know. I am no longer able to track the absences for you and ask that you use this program, but feel free to still let me know as well. Thank you for your cooperation with this.

To use "Safe Arrival" choose one of the following options:

1. Website: lethsd51.schoolconnects.com

2. SafeArrival app

3. Call Toll Free 1-866-879-1041

*You will need to report all absences before 8:30 am, if you miss the deadline, instead of calling the school, just wait until the SafeArrival System contacts you to excuse the absence or late.*

Also, if you need to pick your child up early, you will have to sign them out at the office before coming to the classroom to pick them up.

Thank you for all of your help with this, we want to keep your children safe and know where they are at all times!

Fridays

Our students will have Kindergarten on alternating Fridays. Please see the attached calendar to see which Fridays your child will have school.

It is also important to note that we are dismissed at 11:45 am on Fridays, compared to our usual 11:30 am.

Snack Time

We ask that you please send a light snack with your student each day. Your student will have about 10-15 minutes to eat. This is meant to be a snack, not a lunch. Having said that, we recognize that some students will be hungrier than others at this time. We will send our students to the bathroom to wash their hands before they eat and will have them clean up their area afterward. We highly recommend you send water with your child's snack as well.

Please keep in mind that there are no microwaves or fridges available to your students. Hot lunch options will not be available to our Kindergarten students, however this is something to look forward to in Grade 1.
